The NovaTech Ethanol Training Simulator is one example of the state-of-the-art process simulation possible with the D/3. This complete simulation of a working ethanol plant is intended to help Ethanol producers and academic institutions familiarize operators with the real-time dynamics and process fundamentals of dry mill ethanol plant processes in a classroom environment.
Developed by Minnesota West Community and Technical College, the NETS academic curriculum draws on the experience of top industry professionals. Students gain familiarity with the basics of chemistry, biology, and process control in an integrated series of classroom exercises. These fundamentals are then applied to a comprehensive range of simulations from start-up to shut down, and crisis recovery.
