WEBserver HMI

The NovaTech Orion WEBserver provides web-based visualization of substation data.

A Firefox web browser can connect to an Orion and view data from connected IEDs and RTUs. WEBserver displays can range from a single text-based screen to detailed substation one-line drawings with multiple password protected drill-down screens for viewing IED data or establishing a pass-through connection with the IED.

The Orion WEBserver offers multiple viewing methods to match your data retrieval needs, including automatically generated ASCII web pages and a scalable vector graphics HMI.

Two other preconfigured WEBserver pages for Data Archiving/Sequence of Events Recording and Alarm Annunication are also available.

Use the following links to view a web page hosted by an Orion5 at our Lenexa KS office:

SVG One-Line

The SVG One-Line utilizes Scalable Vector Graphics to display real-time data, allowing zoom in/out capabilities. Mozilla Firefox version 1.5 or greater is supported by the SVG One-Line. If the plug-in does not install automatically or you have trouble viewing the page then go here to install it: www.adobe.com/svg/viewer/install

Data Archiving/Sequence of Events Recorder

The Orion's archive module allows data to be stored in flash memory and to be viewed on a web page or retrieved via FTP for offline analysis. The archived data web pages are auto-generated, with no HTML knowledge or coding required. Orion's data archiving capabilities can be used for typical applications such as sequence of events (SOE) logging and load profiling.

Auto Generated ASCII IED Data

The Auto Generated ASCII IED Data uses a text based display to automatically generate web pages (no HTML coding).

Telnet
Telnet to Orion (password required) allows the user to analyze communication performance and to monitor data values. This feature is password protected. If you would like to try telnet, please email sales@novatech-llc.com with your request.
