OrionLX is designed to operate with existing secure devices in the IT infrastructure, including upstream routers and PCs. The entire NSA design is based upon open, industry-standard hardware and software to ensure compatibility.

OrionLX has no moving parts or fans that can fail, operates over a wide temperature range, and meets ANSI C37.90 standards for protection against electrical transients and electromagnetic emissions.
Encryption standards supported include AES, 3DES and RC4. Upgrades and future standards are maintained through firmware upgrades via nonvolatile flash RAM.
An intuitive set of web-based configuration tools following standard IT conventions allows easy configuration. OrionLX works with installed security hardware, saving on hardware and installation costs.
A complete record of all successful and unsuccessful access attempts are logged in non-volatile memory. Online status page and advanced logging options for detailed troubleshooting also provided.
