Orion #1 Flexible Substation Automation Platform with 26% of U.S. Market

A recent Newton Evans study, "The World Market for Substation Automation and Integration Programs in Electric Utilities: 2008-2010" confirmed that Orion was the top selling "Flexible Substation Automation Platform" in 2008 with a 26% market share. 

According to Ray Wright, NovaTech VP Marketing, "This is the first study that distinguishes the Flexible Substation Automation Platform from traditional RTU and Communication Processors. NovaTech defined that 'flexible' segment 10 years ago with the Orion Automation Platform, enabling customers to combine many traditional automation functions - RTU, Relay Comm Processor, HMI, Logic Processor - into a single Orion box, reducing cost and integration effort. We expect this substation automation segment to grow rapidly, particularly in transmission applications".
